Magunta locked in
fierce contest with YSR’s co-brother
- Ongole
constituency, which is famous for its quality tobacco and bulls, is
witnessing a neck-and-neck race between YSRC candidate Y.V. Subba
Reddy, late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s co-brother, and
three-time MP and TDP candidate Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy.
- Mr. Subba Reddy,
who is optimistic about his poll prospects, says given a chance he
will ensure the all-round development of Ongole constituency,
comprising 38 mandals.
- Mr. Srinivasulu
Reddy, whose brother Magunta Subbarama Reddy and sister-in-law M.
Parvathamma who had held the Lok Sabha seat earlier for one term
each, says: “There is a growing realisation that only Narendra Modi
and Chandrababu Naidu are capable of developing Seemandhra.”
- Mr. Pavan Kumar is
also confident of his win in the elections, saying that people had
backed the Congress even in times of crises.
