- Khammam sizzled at an unbearable 47 degrees Celsius on Friday even as Hyderabad experienced its hottest day of this summer with the maximum temperature touching a sweltering 40.7 degrees.

- Anna University has announced that applications for the academic year 2014-15 for B.E. and B. Tech courses will be issued at 60 centres across the State from May 3, 2014.
